When I was in Kevin’s shop I also noticed this pencil drawing hanging on the wall … Kevin said that his Granpa did this artwork in 1947 … thought it was very cool!

Stopped by and saw an old friend in May, Texas the other day and picked up a little border collie while I was at it …
Kevin Elkins is a Spurmaker and Silversmith and is quite handy at his trade.
Saw this hanging on the wall of his shop … it’s a logo that I did for him in about 1998 – 1999.
One helluva nice guy!

This one’s name is Maggie –
looks a lot like my old Border Collie, Belle Starr that I had to put down last year.

I would have to say this is probably one of my most popular cartoons.
I spent about 16 days in a row at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo with a good friend of mine, Rick McCumber and every day about every two hours “The Arbuckle Boys” would come on stage and sing “Ghost Riders in the Sky”.
After a deluge of this one day Rick said … “hey cardboard cowtoonist I got and idea” … and the rest they say is history.
“GOAT RIDERS in the Sky” was created
