So …. I was setting at The Cocky Rooster last Thursday night and a fellow I met named AJ gave me an idea for a cartoon …
Pretty happy with how it came out … It’s about that time.
THE CARTOON COWBOY is proud and honored to announce that he has been selected as the newest member of Cowboy Cartoonists International .
To be selected as a member of this group is truly an amazing honor for me, as this is a group of the finest Cowboy Cartoonists in the world.
If you have a chance I would greatly appreciate it if you would take the time to visit our Facebook page and give us a Like.
Christmas in Comfort happens the Saturday after Thanksgiving and has been happening for a long time … the downtown streets of Comfort, Texas are closed off and the place is full up with street vendors peddlin’ their crafts, wares and food followed by one of the largest nightime Christmas parades around.
The Cartoon Cowboy has made an effort to participate in the festivities (Lone Star Beer) every chance he gets.
Here are a few photos from yesterday’s event.
Christmas in Comfort 2014
“The Cartoon Cowboy” with Christmas Elves – Steve and Karen
… not sure, but this might have been “Machete”
… if you don’t get excited about street peddlers then you need to check your “fun thermometer” …
“MACHETE” … the street peddler did manage to wrangle a $10.00 bill from me for the purchase of this fine Rudolph hat … well worth the money …
… and “YES” … we can drink beer in the streets !
HELL !
This is Texas !
“THE CARTOON COWBOY and his oldest daughter, JANNI”
… and another one
… took a few minutes to relax at THE BEST BAR IN THE WORLD …
“THE COCKY ROOSTER BAR”

… winding down the evening festivities
… last year in 2013, my youngest daughter Ammeke and myself began decorating The Lone Star Beer Christmas Tree … so this year we made a page on Facebook for it (why wouldn’t we) … give us a “LIKE” if you don’t mind and if you are traveling between Comfort, Texas and Sisterdale, Texas stop and take a photo and post it on our page. THANKS, THANKS A LOT !
THE CARTOON COWBOY …
On my side of the river …
(if this offends you, remember that I am a cartoonist that deals in satire and cynicism. In short it doesn’t really bother me that you are offended)
down the road outside of Langtry, Texas on The Rio Grande
… this is at Eagle’s Nest
MEXICO on the other side.
Ol’ Judge Roy Bean’s place was always a favorite place of my Dad’s … of course when he went there for the first time in the early 1950’s it wasn’t anything like it is today.
The State of Texas has stepped in and made everything around there real fancy …
Still a place I like to visit on occasion.
They say this place is 2 miles from water and 2 feet from HELL !
